About Us
The Autism & Neurodiversity MasterClass was originally created as a global initiative of Autism Camp Australia Ltd, developed in conjunction with 28 of the world’s leading Autism and neurodiversity educators, advocates, thought leaders and concept originators. The MasterClass is now privately owned and continues to honour the foundational vision and values established by ACA.
About Autism Camp Australia’s Legacy
Autism Camp Australia (ACA) was a registered Australian charity whose mission was to improve the health and wellbeing of Autistic young people and their families. During its operation, ACA created safe supported spaces where the Autistic community could connect, celebrate their identity and enrich their lives, enhancing life skills through neurodiversity affirming and relationship-based practices, therapies and education focused on supporting health and wellbeing.
ACA’s unique, evidence and lived-experience based approach was implemented by a diverse, outcomes-focused team, and their neurodiversity manifesto set a gold standard for inclusion in the workplace, with Autistic and neurodivergent people leading the way at every level of their organisation. Their commitment to embracing neurodivergence was evident in everything they did – they were Autistic-led, prided themselves on significant neurodivergent representation at every level, were informed by lived experience and engaged in positive lived-experience role modelling.
ACA’s vision of self-reliance, independence, social connection and community inclusion for Autistic young people and their families continues to inspire the ongoing work of the MasterClass.
